Bluejuice have just announced that they will undertake a massive Australian tour this April, taking in Wollongong, Sydney, Brisbane, Margaret River, Perth, Adelaide, Geelong, Frankston, and two shows in Melbourne, including an U18s-only matinee.
As 2011 closed, Bluejuice dropped their third album Company, and it turned out to be one of the best reviewed records of the year. The album is a high energy, brilliantly crafted, pop music anthology that sets Bluejuice aside from both their peers and current music trends. It left behind the inconsistency and genre-hopping that some felt had compromised their earlier records, and it delivered on the long-term live appeal of the band.
Company was the first Bluejuice album to be featured on triple j, and it received four-star and Album of the Week nods from the gatekeepers of critical acclaim in this country including the Sydney Morning Herald, the West Australian, Beat, The Brag, The Music Network, and Rave Magazine.
If the critics buzzed when the album was released, it was the band's audience that took the reins last month when Bluejuice absolutely smashed their spot on the national Big Day Out tour. The Boiler Room was at total capacity as punters voted for the new material with their feet and the band consistently pulled the biggest crowd of the day to that stage.
It feels like the Bluejuice moment is arriving in 2012! So check out the band whilst they are in their career-best form at a show this April to celebrate the launch of Company. Joining the guys will be the raucous charge of Loon Lake (Melbourne) and garage cool of The Cairos (Brisbane).
For the total Bluejuice experience you can purchase a digital version of Company at the time of online ticket purchase for the 'fan only' price of just $10.
