Mini Beast Disco

Mini Beast Disco is a big-hearted, community-minded intergenerational eco-disco extravaganza; a wild, playful, youthful and green luminescent burst.

Part-performance, part-workshop, Mini Beast Disco undulates, squirms and worms into orbit, reframing ideas of ‘us’ and ‘community’ to include the biosphere. Flying in the face of anthropocentric domination, Proud and Queer underground artists Betty Grumble, Andreas Lohmeyer, and Dandrogyny will encourage an expansive view of the natural world to foster deep empathy, understanding and a sense of awe, always.

Recommended for kids aged 3 – 9 and their family hordes, beetle on down to Abbotsford Convent for this hopeful offering and celebration of togetherness and aliveness.

Mini Beast Disco is presented as part of Pivot, Abbotsford Convent’s short-term residency program supported by the Australia Council for the Arts and Creative Victoria.
