Helpmann award winner Michael Griffiths and acclaimed cabaret darling Amelia Ryan celebrate the songbooks of Aussie icons Olivia Newton-John and Peter Allen. From their humble small-town beginnings to world domination in sequins and jumpsuits, revisit all of their sing-a-long classics from Rio to Tenterfield, all the way to Xanadu and beyond. As camp as maracas and tender as Pete’s gift to Livvy ‘I Honestly Love You’, there promises to be rollerskates, T-Birds, Pink Ladies, 80s jazzercise and an Oscar winning song to boot!
Michael won the Helpmann Award for Best Cabaret Performer in 2016 and was nominated for a Green Room Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Bob Crewe in Jersey Boys. He has also appeared in Priscilla Queen Of The Desert, We Will Rock You! and Shout! His acclaimed one man cabaret shows In Vogue, Sweet Dreams, Adolescent and Cole have delighted critics and audiences across every cabaret festival in Australia and beyond to New York, London, Hong Kong and the Edinburgh Fringe.
Amelia is an award winning Cabaret Artist, Writer and Mentor. Since co-winning the 2012 Your Theatrics International Cabaret Contest, her critically acclaimed shows A Storm in a D-cup and Lady Liberty have traversed the Australian Cabaret Festival circuit, as well as New York City, London and the Edinburgh Fringe. Amelia also mentors for the Adelaide Cabaret Festivals Class of Cabaret program.
